Remote Area in Yunnan: Nujiang Canyon, Bingzhongluo and dulong river

Kunming-Lushui-Bingzhongluo-Gongshan-Dulong River-Lushui-Dali-Kunming

Summary:

Across the canyon into Nujiang River. Walk along the marks into the Ancient Tea Horse Road and into Bingzhongluo, where is believed that god is living there with human. Tribal women in those thirteen years old, all embroidered face tattoos, which is handed down from age to age. Why is this mysterious tribe to show people with strange tattoos? Why can this practice lasted for thousands of years?

Itinerary:

Day1: Kunming

Activities: Kunming arrival, transfer to hotel.
Overnight: Kunming

Day2: Kunming-(570km)-Lushui ( Liuku or Lutku )

Activities: Drive to Lutku Lushui.Route: G56-G320-S228.Drive nearly 9 hours and the road condition is good.
Photography: Optional shooting along the way.
Overnight: Lutku (Liuku)

Day3: Lushui-(290km)-Bingzhongluo

Activities: Leave for Bingzhongluo after the breakfast.
Photography: Photograph the beauty of Nujiang Canyon, then step on the highest viewing platform to shoot the first bend of the Nujiang River.
Overnight: Bingzhongluo

Day4: Bingzhongluo

Activities: All day in Bingzhongluo.
Photography: Zhongdingcun Catholic Church, the Stone House of Nu People, Shimen Pass, the most beautiful ecological village—Qiunatong Village, the Ancient Tea Horse Road, direct contact with paradise-like Wuli Village in Bingzhongluo.
Overnight: Bingzhongluo

Day5: Bingzhongluo-(170km)-Dulong Village

Activities: Drive to Dulong village (110km,3-4 hours)
Photography: Dulong original house, Pastoral gorge scenery, the face-tattooed women.
Overnight: Dulong village

Day6: Dulong Village-(130km)-Gongshan

Activities: Leave for Longyuan Village after breakfast and go back to Gongshan in the afternoon.

Overnight: Gongshan

Day7: Gongshan-(250km)-Lushui

Activities: Back to Lushui after breakfast in Gongshan.

Day8: Lushui-(265km)-Dali

Activities: Drive to Xizhou Ancient Town in Dali via Longling County.
Photography: Battle of Mount Song Monument, Erhai Lake, Xizhou Ancient Town.
Overnight: Xizhou Ancient Town.

Day9: Dali-(380km)-Kunming

Activities: Morning photography in Xizhou Ancient Town and back to Kunming after lunch. We will end this jolly trip there!
